Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 11 May 2026

About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of this website, to any enquiry or quote request you make through it, and to any goods or services we supply to you in connection with it. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the site or proceed with our services.

This website provides general information about Doberman CCTV installation services and allows you to request a quote. Any quote, survey, installation, or supply of equipment is subject to separate confirmation and (where applicable) a separate contract.

Website use

  • You may use the site for lawful purposes only.
  • You must not attempt to interfere with the site's security, availability, or proper operation (including by introducing malware or attempting unauthorised access).
  • You must not scrape, harvest, or attempt to extract data from the site (including submitting automated form requests) except as permitted by law.
  • We may suspend or restrict access to the site at any time if we reasonably believe it is being misused.

Quotes and enquiries

  • Any information you submit must be accurate to the best of your knowledge. If you request a quote for a property, you confirm you are authorised to do so (for example, as the owner, occupier, or an authorised representative).
  • Any figure given before a site survey is an indicative range based on the information you provide. A firm quote is issued only after the site survey. If you ask for changes to scope after the firm quote, pricing may be adjusted to reflect them.
  • Requesting a quote does not create an obligation for either party to proceed. We may decline to provide services at our discretion (for example, due to location, safety concerns, or capacity).

Site surveys and installation

If we arrange a site survey or installation, you agree to provide reasonable access to the property and to tell us about any relevant hazards or restrictions. We may reschedule or stop work if we reasonably believe conditions are unsafe.

We will take reasonable care, but you are responsible for ensuring you have any necessary permissions (for example, landlord consent) and that any third-party requirements are met (for example, building management rules).

Pricing, deposits and payment

Prices in firm quotes are stated either inclusive or exclusive of VAT, as set out on the quote itself. A deposit may be required to confirm the installation date and to order materials. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the balance is due on completion of the installation.

We accept bank transfer; other payment methods may be agreed in writing in advance. Where payment is not received by the agreed date, we reserve our rights under applicable law, which may include suspending further work, charging statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 (where applicable), and recovering reasonable costs of collection. Title in supplied equipment remains with us until payment is received in full.

Defective products and warranty

Hardware we supply is covered by the manufacturer's limited warranty in force at the time of purchase. For Ubiquiti UniFi products, current warranty terms are published at ui.com/support/warranty/ and any return is processed through Ubiquiti's Return Merchandise Authorisation (RMA) procedure at rma.ui.com.

If a unit fails within the manufacturer's warranty period, you should report the fault to us. We will raise the RMA with the manufacturer on your behalf, return the faulty unit, and fit the replacement once received at no labour or callout charge. Replacement timing depends on the manufacturer's RMA queue and stock availability, which are outside our control. Replacement units cannot be supplied without an authorised RMA number.

Warranty cover does not extend to:

  • Physical damage caused by accident, misuse, vandalism, power surges, or unauthorised modification.
  • Damage caused by third-party work on the system after our installation.
  • Cosmetic wear and tear, or units returned without their original accessories or with serial numbers altered or removed.

Cancellation of hardware orders

For hardware supplied without installation, you have 14 days from delivery to cancel for any reason under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Returned items must be in original, unused condition with all packaging and accessories. Return shipping is at your cost unless the item is defective, in which case it is handled under the warranty process above.

Where installation has already commenced at your request within the 14-day window, the cancellation right does not apply to work already performed or to bespoke configuration work. Any hardware not yet installed remains returnable for the remainder of the period.

Limitation of liability (goods and services)

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from goods or services we supply is limited to the fees paid to us for the relevant goods or services in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of footage, loss of evidence, loss of insurance recovery, or business interruption.

Nothing in this section limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us using the details provided on this website with a clear description of the issue and what you would like us to do. We will acknowledge complaints promptly and aim to resolve them within a reasonable period.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights, including your right to pursue alternative dispute resolution where available, or to bring legal proceedings.
